Anne Frances Lederman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 20, 1983. Her father worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a treasurer. He is also funny, something she has gotten from him. Her mother worked as a social worker.
For her formal education, the actress went to a Quaker school. She had been training to compete in the junior Olympic swimming competition when a vehicle accident injured her foot. The young athlete used drugs, sold drugs, and drank when she was younger. So, she was sent to a school for kids who broke the law.
After Lederman graduated from high school, she took a year off and went to Hawaii to train dolphins. Next, she worked for a charity in Central America that helped kids who didn't have much. The social worker also helped children with disabilities as a counselor for Easterseals.
Annie Lederman went to school for art and counseling at The Santa Fe University of Art and Design. After she finished college, she started her career as a comedian.
Career
Lederman moved to New York City in 2009 to become sober and start a comedy career. The YouTube channel Sausage Party Presented was created in 2011 by Lederman and the video artist Abbey Luck. She was a regular guest on the E! show Chelsea Lately from 2012 to 2014.
In 2018, her joke about dental floss became famous on the internet. She had a small part in The Long Dumb Road that same year. She likes to make jokes on social media and in stand-up, and she thinks it's easier to make one person laugh with a single joke than to keep a whole crowd laughing for a long time.
On November 28, 2022, Lederman rebranded her Meanspiration podcast as AnnieWood.
