Bert Kreischer
Bert Kreischer, also known as "The Machine," was born on November 3, 1972. He got his start as a comedian by performing at local taverns and nightclubs. In his early years, he had a reputation for being a wild party animal. He has been the host of many comedy specials and the face of travel reality shows.
Early Life
Albert Kreischer Jr.’s father, Al, was a lawyer for real estate, and his mother, Gege, worked in child development before they had children.
Bert Kreischer went to Jesuit High School, and when he graduated, he joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and chose to major in English at Florida State University.
In 1997, when he was in his sixth year of college, the Princeton Review said that Florida State was the country's best "party school."
Career
Bert Kreischer's stand-up comedy career began at Tallahassee's Potbelly. His agent, Jason Steinberg, requested his presence at a few New York City stand-up events after hearing his recordings. After he started working the door at the Boston Comedy Club in Greenwich Village, Will Smith's production company offered him a contract for a sitcom a few months later.
He was also in "Prepare to Meet Thy God," a short movie from 2001, and the pilot "Life with David J." "Shorties Watchin' Shorties" on Comedy Central has animated versions of a few of his short stories. He was a guest star on "The Shield" and the DVD "National Lampoon Live: New Faces - Volume 2."
Kreischer was in the movie "Alpha Mail" in 2007 and "Reality Bites Back," a parody of reality shows, with Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, and other comedians in 2008.
Bert Kreischer has been a regular guest on "Rachael Ray," "Conan," and "Late Show with David Letterman" from 2011 to 2015. Bert also appeared on "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Comics Unleashed," "Lights Out with David Spade," "The Kelly Clarkson Show," and "This Is Not Happening."
In 2016, Showtime aired "The Machine," Kreischer's second stand-up special. From 2012 to 2015, Kreischer was one of the hosts of the Travel Channel show "Trip Flip." In 2017, Nickelodeon started showing his animated show, "The Loud House." In 2018 and 2020, Netflix showed his "Secret Time" specials and "Hey, Big Boy."
In April 2023, Kreischer and Mark Hamill made the movie "The Machine," based on Bert's real-life adventures and subsequent stand-up acts. Over 80 million people have watched its clip. Krischer was also one of the top producers of the movie.
