Craig Robinson
Craig Phillip Robinson is a very popular American comedian and actor known for his role in The Office. He had also starred in popular shows, The Cleveland Show and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He is well known for his incredible comic timing and has been well-appreciated in films like Pineapple Express and Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
Robinson also has several TV shows under his credit. However, despite his stardom in all forms of entertainment, his first love has always been stand-up comedy, and he frequently goes back to it.
Career in Comedy and Other Accolades
Robinson started his career as a stand-up comedian and took classes in comedy and improv acting while in college. He later started doing open-mic shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. He later appeared on Def Comedy Jam and participated in various regional comedy shows and competitions. He soon started making appearances on late-night TV shows.
He appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and started doing small film roles. Some of them are Knocked Up, Hot Tub Time Machine, Get on Up, and even on some episodes of Friends. He also lent his voice to films like Shrek Forever After and The Bad Guys.
Robinson started hosting the seventh season of Last Comic Standing alongside other prominent judges. He also appeared in several other TV shows like Halfway Home, Reno 911!, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He also appeared in the music video Hump de Bump for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Plus, he starred in the hit HBO series, Eastbound & Down and the miniseries Santa Inc.
Robinson has starred in notable films like Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Dolittle, and Henchmen. He also contributed to the mobile game Hay Day and appeared in Wal-Mart commercials.
Robinson was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male for his role in Morris from America. In addition to comedy, Robinson has tried his hands at music and is also a famous voice-over artist. He also appeared in a Korean film, the D-War, which was quite well-received.
