Earthquake

Earthquake is the professional name of the stand-up comedian Nathaniel Stroman. He is also a well-known radio personality and voice artist. He currently hosts Quakeshouse, which is a radio show for SiriusXM and Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud Network.

Born in Washington, D.C., it was his mother who gave him the nickname 'Earthquake.'

After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force and later admitted that the reason behind joining the military was to get away from his mother.

Career and Accomplishments

Earthquake’s career in comedy started with him performing gigs at clubs during the early 1990s. He became the co-owner of Uptown Comedy Corner by 1993, where he played host and also gave opportunities to the best of the best stand-up comedians.

He then went on to open his comedy club, Earthquake's Comedy Corner II, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Dallas, Texas. Earthquake's national break came about in 1997 when he joined the Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam Tour.

He became a part of the Latham Entertainment Presents Comedy Tour in 2002 and went on to perform one of his most popular shows, About Goddamn Time, in 2005.

Earthquake was a part of the All-Star Def Comedy Jam in 2007 and the TBS Comedy Festival Lollapalooza in 2008. He appeared in Shaquille O'Neal's All-Star Comedy Jam Special in the year 2009 and also appeared as a guest on TV One: Way Black When in 2011.

His career in radio started with The Steve Harvey Morning Show, where he appeared every Tuesday and Thursday and filled in whenever Steve Harvey was away on holiday or so.

Earthquake decided to become a radio personality full-time on weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm with Déjà Vu when he joined 107.5 WBLS in 2013. His stint at the station ended in February 2016.

ABC's The View created a special segment in April 2013 when the cast of The View chose certain stand-up comedians as their favorites and presented them to the world. Among these comedians, the name Earthquake was present as well.

In fact, the great comedian personality who had chosen Earthquake was Whoopi Goldberg.

Some of the movies he has appeared in include Clerks II and The Longshots. A couple of the TV shows he was seen in are The Neighborhood, South Side, and In the Cut.
