Eddie Pepitone
Eddie Pepitone is a stand-up comedian and character actor. If you’re even remotely aware of the world of stand-up comedy, you must have surely heard his name.
Born on 5th November 1958 in Brooklyn, New York, he was brought up in Staten Island. The comedian is revered as a cult favorite everywhere. His best friend is Matt Oswalt, who is the younger brother of the famous stand-up comedian Patton Oswalt.
Career and Achievements
Pepitone appears in the comedy scene that's present in Los Angeles.
He is a regular on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast and is famous for the sketch appearances he does on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Conan, where his role is that of a New York City Heckler, which he plays by being part of the audience.
Pepitone's recurring appearances on TV shows include Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, The Sarah Silverman Program, and The Life & Times of Tim.
He acted in a mockumentary film named Runyon: Just Above Sunset, which was directed by Troy Conrad and co-written by Karen Simmons that won awards such as Best Actor in a Mockumentary and Best in Show at the L.A. Mockfest.
The mockumentary also won in the category of Best Comedy Short in 2011 at the Burbank Film Festival. He was a contestant during the first season of Last Comic Standing.
Pepitone has been a part of many movies, such as Old School, The Muppets, Terri, and School for Scoundrels. His stand-up performances are seen quite regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles.
He has performed on multiple comedy programs in the form of a guest appearance.

A documentary that spoke about the art of stand-up comedy, titled Alone Up There, featured Pepitone too and was released in 2012. A Great Stillness, which was his very first stand-up album, got released in 2011 and was recorded at the Gotham Comedy Club. He developed a sketch comedy album titled The Big Push, which came out in the year 2006.
In June 2020, Pepitone's stand-up special, known as For the Masses, was released and given the title of 'the funniest special of the year' by the New York Times in December of that year.
