Fabien Cloutier

Fabien Cloutier is an actor, director, and author. This Canadian powerhouse of talent graduated from the Quebec Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in 2001. Ever since then, he has been a part of over 20 theatrical productions in Montreal and Quebec City.

He was born on 15th December 1975 in Sainte-Marie, Quebec. Cloutier was bestowed with the Governor General's Award for French-language drama at the Governor General's Awards in the year 2015.

Career and Accomplishments

Coming to his performances on the big screens as well as the small ones, he has been seen in Les pays d’en haut, La Maison du pêcheur, Boomerang, Plan B, and Blue Moon. He received the Gémeaux Award in the category of Best Supporting Role in the year 2015 for his performance in Les Beaux Malaises.

Cloutier was also shortlisted for the Governor General's Award for French-language drama at the 2012 Governor General's Awards. He won the Prix Gratien-Gélinas Award for his performance in Billy in 2011.

The storyteller was behind the creations of Paparagilles and Esprit Critique as a columnist. He played the character of Mike Pratt in Faits Divers, a series created by Stéphane Lapointe, and ended up winning the Gémeaux Award for best lead in a drama series for this role in the year 2018.

Cloutier is the writer of splendid shows such as Scotstown and Cranbourne, which he has also performed in. Much like his comedy shows, he has performed these shows on numerous stages in Quebec.

Another play that has Cloutier's name attached to it is La guerre des tuques. The play of his that received the honor of being presented at the La Licorne Theater and Trident Theater was Bonne retraite, Jocelyne. He also directed the play.

The TV series Léo, which came out in 2018, was shown on Club Illico. He is attached to the show as its actor, writer, and originator.

The series is based on the life of a 40-year-old man named Leo, who decides to take charge of his own life after having been single and jobless for a long time.
