Finesse Mitchell
Finesse Mitchell is a stand-up comedian, actor, and author. Born on 12th June 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia, he completed his graduation from the University of Miami. During his time at university, he took part in the football team and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
Mitchell got married to Jessica Santos on 13th September 2008 in Atlanta, and the two divorced on 20th May 2011. He then got married to El DeBarge's daughter, Adris DeBarge, in September 2013, and their first child was born in March 2015. As per sources, the name of their youngest child is Elle Kate.
Career and Accomplishments
The very first time he appeared on television was in the year 1999 on BET’s Comic View, for which he received a tremendously positive reaction from the audience.
After this incident, he shifted to New York and Los Angeles, where his appearances were noted on talk shows such as Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.
Post these appearances, his audience widened both nationally and internationally, leading to multiple shows at concerts, corporate events, and colleges.
Soon after, he got the chance to have his own half-hour special for Comedy Central, causing numerous performances at reputed comedy clubs. Mitchell was a part of Saturday Night Live in 2003, and soon enough, he was made a cast member of the show in 2005.
After being a featured player in the 29th and 30th seasons of Saturday Night Live, he became a cast member at the beginning of the 31st season.
His time on the show, however, was short-lived due to budget issues, which is why he was dropped from it, along with Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell. Through the help of Quincy Jones III, who is the son of Quincy Jones, Mitchell released his stand-up special titled Snap Famous in a DVD format.
Some of the movies that the comedian has been a part of include Mad Money, The Comebacks, and Who's Your Caddy? He appeared as a recurring character named Harvey in Roadies, a series on Showtime, and also featured in the movie titled Barely Lethal in 2015.
Another series where he served as a regular was Outmatched, a comedy show on Fox. The baking competition known as Is It Cake? on Netflix featured Mitchell as a judge in 2022.
