Foil Arms and Hog is a sketch comedy group hailing from Ireland. The group includes three people, namely Sean Flanagan (Hog), Conor McKenna (Arms), and Sean Finegan (Foil).

Being one of the most beloved sketch comedy groups to exist in the current era, their videos on the internet have over a billion views. However, despite their online popularity, the crowd they managed to gather for their live shows is just fabulously baffling.

Career and Accomplishments

Foil Arms and Hog perform online, for stage shows, TV shows, and the radio. They write and edit a video on a weekly basis, shoot it within their office space, and upload it across various social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

The trio never limits itself to just one genre. Instead, they like to display their eclectic talents in terms of subjects and work on observational humor as well as topical comedy.

Some of the most famous sketches they put out on YouTube include An Englishman Plays Risk, When Irish People Can't Speak Irish, How to Speak Dublin, and WTF is Brexit.

Ireland and the United Kingdom are the places where Foil Arms and Hog perform the maximum number of shows, but they also do perform in Australia, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

They have also performed a couple of times at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, one of the world's biggest arts and media festivals.

This comedy group's very fun and quirky name emerged because of the members' nicknames for each other.

Foil refers to Sean Finegan acting as the comedy foil, Sean Flanagan is called Hog since the group members keep joking that he would often hog the limelight, and Conor McKenna is known as Arms since he is evidently all arms and legs.

The three individuals met at University College Dublin as they were all a part of the drama club, and the group was officially created in 2008. The elements that drew them to one another were a shared interest in comedy and a love for the show named Father Ted.

Back when they decided to create Foil Arms and Hog, the world was going through a financial crisis, and the trio admitted that there couldn’t have been a better time to come together.
