Jack Jr.
Jack Jr. grew up in the comedy scene as the son of people who owned comedy clubs. Over time, he went from being a fan to a performer. In the past few years, he has tried his hand at acting and writing and moved up the ranks to the point where he is now touring the country with Marlon Wayans, Damon Wayans Jr., Brandon T. Jackson, and David Spade, among others.
Jack Jr. has been on the shows "Sex Life" on Epix, "Laugh After Dark" on Amazon, and the "Make America Laugh Again" documentary on Amazon. On the 2019 season of NBC's "Stand Up," he made it to the finals. Through the NoHo Comedy Festival he founded, many of the top comedians in the country were able to perform for local audiences. He is now the main act in clubs all over the country and has appeared in movies like "50 Shades of Black" and popular podcasts like "About Last Night" with Adam Ray and "The Church of What's Happening Now with Joey Diaz!”
Early Life
Jack Jr. was born in Southern California and grew up with his Mexican and Armenian parents. The fact that Jack's parents own the HaHa Comedy Club in North Hollywood and that he comes from a diverse family has given him a unique stage presence and an interesting view of the comedy scene.
More about his show
When Coachella started the first music festival season in two years, some people might have forgotten that April was also the start of the wedding season. Los Angeles-based comedian Jack Jr. opted to mix both huge seasons, but with a Middle Eastern comic twist, as a couple's wedding served as a pretext for a big celebration following the lockdown. In steps Brochella.
It's possible that the name sounds like something that already takes place when a group of frat boys gets together to listen to Marshmello in the Sahara tent. But Jack Jr. says that the name Brochella comes from an old Armenian greeting: "What's up, brrrooo?" (The rolling R's are important)
Because of Jack Jr.'s mixed ethnicity, he has been able to book all kinds of ethnic comedy shows at the Haha Comedy Club in North Hollywood, where he lives. He got a bunch of Middle Eastern comedians together at the Vertigo Event Venue in Glendale. Along with Jack Jr., Melissa Shoshahi, Mary Basmadjian, and special guests, the night was led by veteran stand-up comics Maz Jobrani and Nemr.
