Jeff Garcia
Jeff Garcia is one of California's most popular comedians. In the animated series and movie The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, he voiced Sheen, who was obsessed with the Ultralord. This role won him an Annie Award. He has also done voices for the animated movies Happy Feet and Barnyard.
Garcia does stand-up comedy all over the country and on TV. He tells funny stories about growing up Latino in a multiethnic community. He has been on the show Comic Justice on Comedy Central and in a half-hour comedy special on MTV.
Early Life and Career
Garcia was born in the California town of La Puente. His parents are Mexican immigrants. Garcia started his career as a stand-up comedian when he was 14 years old in 1991. He did stand-up comedy in Southern California comedy clubs throughout the 1990s until 1995, when he started acting.
Garcia is known for playing Sheen Estevez. He was also in an episode of the animated show Clone High. In addition to that, he was the head of the Wild Wake-Up crew that broadcasted on KMRK-FM 96.1. He has also provided the voice for the character of Tyler Nelson in the "Maw" movie as well as the voice of the mouse Pip in the film Barnyard from 2006. He continued to voice "Pip" on the TV show "Back at the Barnyard."
In the 2006 movie Happy Feet, he gave "Rinaldo" the penguin's voice. He provided the voice of Suneo Honekawa in both the anime television series Doraemon and the anime film The New Record of Nobita: Spaceblazer. In May 2006, he was on one of the half-hour Comedy Central Presents shows. He was a contender on Reality Bites Back on Comedy Central, but he decided to leave it the second day. In the 2011 animated comedy film Rio, he is also the voice of Tipa, one of the smugglers and the bat. In Rio 2, he voices a spoonbill and a Spix's Macaw named Peri, who is trying out for a part.
Garcia has dedicated much time and energy to Gracie's Fund, a nonprofit established to aid a young woman whose mother shot her. He has been spreading the word about the fund by doing comedy shows and giving a portion of the money from online sales of his DVDs and CDs.
