Joe List
This prolific American comedian began his comedy career just a few weeks after graduating high school. Since then, he hasn’t looked back and is continuing to rock the stage with his irresistible comedy.
Besides being a comedian, Joseph Albert List also made a name as a writer and actor. He recently starred in Louis C.K.’s comedy-drama “Fourth Of July,” which was played in theaters across North America. His comedy specials “I Hate Myself” and “This Year’s Material” have garnered millions of viewers.
Rise As A Stand-up Comedian And Actor
Joe List was born in Massachusetts in 1982. His journey as a stand-up comedian started in 2000, soon after attending high school. He performed as a stand-up comedian on stages in Boston, known for notorious crowds. Since then, he has accomplished success in the entertainment industry with his utmost dedication and hard work.
List appeared on “The Late Show With David Letterman” and on the late-night talk show “Conan,” followed by the release of his two stand-up comedy albums. In 2015, he elevated his fan following as he made his way to the finals of “Last Comic Standing” by NBC.
List is also a well-known podcaster, and fans catch him weekly in three more shows - “Tuesdays with Stories,” “Mindful Metal Jacket” and “Joe and Raanan Talk Movies.” Each of them renders his fans a well-rounded and hilarious point of view. List is even a regular on the podcast “You Know What Dude” by Robert Kelly. However, when he isn’t headlining popular clubs in North America, he makes crowds at New York City’s “Comedy Cellar” laugh with his regular performances.
Comedy Central released List’s special “I Hate Myself” in 2020 on their YouTube page, which has crossed more than 7.5 million views. Moreover, List premiered his latest “This Year’s Material” one-hour special on his YouTube page in April. And it has already reached 1 million viewers.
These specials captured millions of attention not because of controversial content but due to several hours of road-tested material. Last year, List and C.K. wrote the film “Fourth of July,” released last year.
Creating clips and checking social media are non-creative to List, but it’s a significant part of his life now. You must watch his specials and catch him live in comedy clubs if you love jokes. Like many of his fans claim, Joe List is a hell of a good hand or, better to say, the best one.
