Early Life

Born on September 16, 1953, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Lenny Clarke grew up in the Boston area, specifically near Dorchester. He attended Boston Latin School and later graduated from West Roxbury High School. Initially, he worked as a bartender and cab driver in Boston, which provided him with plenty of material for his stand-up routines.

Career

Clarke started his stand-up comedy career in 1978 at Ding Ho's, a now-defunct comedy club in Cambridge. During this time, he developed his unique style of Boston comedy, often drawing inspiration from his working-class childhood and life experiences.
