Liza was born in Odessa, Ukraine, on August 31, 1987, and comes from a Jewish family. When she was three, her family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where they settled in Skokie after a brief stint in Rogers Park.

3). In 2017, her half-hour special on Comedy Central was released, and she performed an hour-long comedy show, In the Weeds, at Bistro Pl in Edinburgh. She was also a part of The Degenerates, a Netflix special.
