Marc Dupre
Marc Dupré is a well-known comedian and singer from Quebec, Canada. He first gained fame in the mid-1990s as a comedian and impersonator, with his shows featuring jokes and impersonations of famous Quebec singers like Éric Lapointe and Kevin Parent.
In recent years, Dupré has also made a name for himself as a singer in Montréwood. His songs have been chart-toppers, and he has performed at many concerts.
Career and Achievements
In 2005, Dupré released his first album, Refaire le monde, which included the hit song "Tout près du bonheur" with Céline Dion. Dion wrote the song and they even shot a music video in Nevada.
He followed this up with his second studio album, Revenir à toi, in 2008, which he released after serving as the opening act for Dion's "Taking Chances" tour in Montreal. On his third album, Entre deux mondes, he sang a duet with Dion called "Y' a pas de mots."
Dupré's fourth album, We Are the Same, was released in 2013 and won him the Félix for "Best Male Artist of the Year" at the 35th Gala L'ADISQ. The album's title track was a huge success in Quebec, and he also took home the Félix for "Popular song of the year" at the same ceremony. The album was also certified gold in Quebec.
Aside from his music career, Dupré is also known for his voice impersonations and has performed at the Juste pour rire festival in Montreal, also known as Just for Laughs in English. He has collaborated with many artists like Wilfred Le Bouthillier, Marie-Pier Perreault, and Annie Villeneuve. He
was also a judge on the French Canadian version of The Voice, Louisiana Voix, in 2013 alongside Isabelle Boulay, Éric Lapointe, and Louis-Jean Cormier.
Dupré often makes high-profile appearances on talk shows like Le mode Salvail and at big events like the Festival d'été de Québec. He has even played with Celine Dion, who wrote the song "Entre deux mondes" for him.
