Maude Landry

Maude Landry is a comedian from Quebec, Canada. She frequently does stand-up comedy and attends evening classes at the National School of Humor. She teaches how to write for sitcoms and television and how to create humor through writing.

Landry has always been interested in creating meaningful content and using humor to make it more exciting and accessible. She started making theatrical improvisations very early in her career and experimented with well-received comedy for its freshness.

Rise as a Comedy Artist and Writer

Landry started doing shows of all kinds, but comedy and humor remained the foundation of her performances. She appeared in shows like Info, Sex and Lies and later in Canadian shows like En mode Salvail, La soiree est jeune, and Patrick Groulx et ses p’tits fine pitches. Her performances were well-received, and she started getting national recognition for her work.

Landry is a regular at ComediHa! Club de Quebec. She also performs at the Le Bordel Comedie Club. In addition, she has gone on quite a few tours as well. One of her first tours was with Louis T. and Adib Alkhalidev.

Landry was also a part of the group of comedians titled "Vive ton courage," which was a coalition when charges were brought against Gilbert Rozon. It helped the Regroupement québécois des CALACS (Centre d'aide et Against Sexual Assault). The coalition launched its comedy festival, the Grand Montreal Comique.

Landry also did her first solo show, "Subtitle," at the Rialto Theater. She also participated in a video series dealing with discrimination against the LGBTQ community. The videos were produced by Jasmin Roy Foundation and were shown on VRAK.TV.

Landry also won two trophies at Les Olivier Gala for her number “Les choses pas logics” for The evening is “still” young. One was the Discovery of the Year Award, while the other was Capsule or Humorous radio sketch. She also hosted the television series "Le sens du punch" in its third season for Unis TV.

Landry has always wanted to make an impact with her comedy, and her shows often have a message for the audience. She does not shy away from taking a stance and has also been vocal about issues she believes in. She reaches closer to the people with her comedy; if you have never been to any of her shows, you must catch her live performance. You are surely going to be impressed by her.
