Michael Buble

Most people have heard a song sung by Michael Buble whether or not they realize it. A jazz, soul, and easy listening singer with a proclivity for throwback tunes, his tunes slip seamlessly into the background of restaurants, specialty shops, and wineries. But Buble has cultivated a devoted fanbase on top of casual listers. To learn more about Buble's background, musical style, and recent projects, keep reading.

Michael Buble is from Canada. As a kid, he admired his grandfather’s collection of records, featuring soul and jazz staples such as Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett. Backed by his grandfather, at the age of 17—in 1992—Michael Buble won the British Columbia Youth Talent Search, a move that set his career in motion. Shortly after winning the competition, Buble recorded an independent album, played local gigs, performed in a musical titled Red Roker Diner, and joined a swing group called Forever Swing. Buble’s biggest break was when he was hired to perform at Prime Minister Brian Mulroney’s daughter’s wedding in 2000. Sticking to vintage, crowd-pleasing songs like “Mack the Knife,” Buble drew the attention of music industry insider David Foster, who later signed him to the 143 Records label under Warner Bros.

A good singer and an even better performer, Buble has been impressive in studio. He has released eight studio albums, three live albums, about ten EPs, and nearly twenty singles. The albums include BaBalu (2001), Michael Buble (2003), Totally Buble (2003), Come Fly With Me (2004), It’s Time (2005), Caught in the Act (2005), Call Me Irresponsible (2007), Crazy Love (2009), Christmas (2011), To Be Loved (2013), Nobody Told Me (2016), and Love (2018). Some of his most popular songs include “Haven’t Met You Yet”, “Feeling Good,” “Home,” “Me and Mrs. Jones,” and “Save the Last Dance for Me.” Clearly, Buble has maintained a passion for big band era music, saturated with nostalgia and allure.

These days, Buble keeps busy as a singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He has focused on duets and other collaborative projects, working with people such Shania Twain, Thalia, Reese Witherspoon, and Sharon Jones. Buble is stunning as a stage performer, which is why much of his year is devoted to touring. If you want to see some of the most popular songs of all time performed in person, or if you are enchanted by his stage presence, attending a concert is essential. An international artist, some of his upcoming shows are in the United States, Canada, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, and Australia.
