Nate Bargatze

Nathaniel Bargatze, popularly known as Nate Bargatze, is an American comedian of Italian descent. He is the son of Stephen Bargatze, an erstwhile clown who became a motivational speaker and magician of international repute. To a large extent, Bargatze was inspired by his father and decided to follow entertainment later because of him.

Bargatze took media and speech classes when he was young, which helped him later when he started doing comedy professionally. He first began performing in New York, at The Boston, along with other clubs in the region. He appeared quite a few times on shows like The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Rise as a Comedian and the Accolades He Received

Bargatze started gaining fame as a comedian and was part of "Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour." He also participated in the Boston Comedy Festival and New York Comedy Festival and won both. He also wrote for the Spike TV Video Game Awards and won words of appreciation from Jim Gaffigan and Marc Maron.

Bargatze also flew out of the country to perform for the US troops in Iraq and Kuwait, where his performances were fresh air. He then released his first stand-up album, Yelled at by a Clown. It was listed in the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Charts for two weeks. His second album, Full Time Magic, was also very successful and was streamed on Netflix, along with his half-hour comedy special and his special for Comedy Central.

Bargatze had an hour-long Netflix special- The Tennessee Kid, and here he speaks hilariously of many of his childhood incidents when he grew up in Nashville. His following special was The Greatest Average American, and it was also hugely successful. Filmed at Universal Studios Hollywood, he was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.

His next special was released on Amazon Prime Video, titled Hello World. In addition, Bargatze also hosted his podcast, "Nateland," which has been inspired by Seinfeld. It has also featured Brian Bates, Dusty Slay, and Aaron Webber. He also did the voiceover for Aperture Desk Job, which was a spinoff of Portal.

An article was published in The Atlantic, named “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The author, Tim Alberta, talks with Bargatze about his life, and everyone agrees that he is the nicest. If you have never seen any of Nate Bargatze’s shows before, you must do so, and you will feel the same.
