Nick Mullen
Nick Mullen is a stand-up comedian who currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. He is the main host of the podcast titled Cum Town. Two of its other hosts include comedians like Adam Friedland and Stavros Halkias. He is the only one who appears for every episode of the podcast. The podcast came into being in May 2016.
Born in New York, he shifted to Baltimore, Mayland, when he was quite young. He is apparently the only child, and his parents are divorced. He has a substantial following on social media platforms and also has his own blog, where he explores the character named Nicole Mullen.
Career and Accomplishments
Mullen says that he was exposed to the internet quite early on, and it is this early exposure that led him to develop a particular sense of humor. His comedy career started back in Baltimore when he would attend school during the day and do comedy during the evening.
He dropped out of high school at the age of 16 to pursue a full-time career in comedy, and the condition put forth by his stepmother was that he would have to take on a job if he wanted to live with her and his father.
During this period, he worked at GameStop, Domino's, Papa John's, Jimmy John's, and many sandwich shops. Mullen managed to save up enough from these jobs to move to Austin, Texas. This is where he met the comedians Kath Barbadoro, Jake Flores, Chris Cubas, and Norman Wilkerson.
He lived in Los Angeles and in Austin for a second time before finally moving to New York.
Mullen has worked as a Production Assistant on local television shoots, often fulfilling the role of a truck driver. He has also worked as an extra for several creative ventures.
You will constantly find him auditioning for small roles in television and other commercial ventures. His podcast, Cum Town, comes out every week, with a duration of an hour, wherein he has conversations either with the guests or discussions related to his own life.
Mullen doesn't like to plan much for his podcasts and lets the conversations flow seamlessly. He jokingly says that he wears all the hats when it comes to this podcast, including that of the intern, editor, producer, host, and marketing team.
His listeners often donate to the podcast through Patreon.
