Pauly Shore

Pauly Shore is a comedian, actor, and filmmaker. Born on 1^st February 1968 in Los Angeles, California, his father, Sammy Shore, was the co-founder of a comedy club named The Comedy Store.

He passed out in 1986 from Beverly Hills High School. Since his parents were involved in show business and the field of comedy, he made his debut in stand-up comedy at the tender age of 17 at the Alley Cat Bistro in Culver City.

Career and Achievements

The big break of his career happened when he landed the position of an on-air MTV VJ in 1989, something he did till 1994. He also had his show, Totally Pauly, and hosted MTV's annual Spring Break parties.

Shore was part of a movie named Encino Man in 1992. This led to him starring in several movies in the upcoming years, namely Son in Law, In the Army Now, Jury Duty, and Bio-Dome. Although these movies didn't receive a great response, they didn't stop Shore's career from moving forward.

He starred in the show called Pauly in 1997 and then made a cameo as a person delivering pizza in N 2 Gether Now, which was a music video from the American rock band known as Limp Bizkit.

As far as the Golden Raspberry Awards are concerned, Shore has received plenty of nominations and awards.

He was nominated for the Worst Actor of the Century, and he won in the categories of the Worst New Star of the Year for Encino Man, Worst Actor of the Year for Bio-Dome, and the Worst New Star of the Decade for the 1990s.

Shore developed a semi-autobiographical mockumentary, Pauly Shore Is Dead, in 2003, for which he was the writer, director, and producer, along with starring in it. This particular venture led to him receiving the best reviews of his career till then.

He was a part of the reality TV show, Minding the Store in 2005, and acted in an independent mockumentary movie, Adopted, in 2010. The film showed his character adopting a kid by journeying to Africa.

He appeared on the show Alone Together as himself in March of 2018. Shore served as the voice of Pinocchio in the American dub of the Russian animated movie titled Pinocchio: A True Story, and his performance was really appreciated by everyone.
