NCAA Softball
Softball season has begun! The national college teams started their season this year in mid-February.
Further, the intercollegiate games are much-awaited events. College-level players are given the high stage to exhibit premium performances and be scouted for future softball opportunities in the national league.
Division I
Presently, there are twenty-nine Division I conferences that are simultaneously underway. The ongoing Division I conferences will find their respective winners by the 14th of May.
Round two, or the regionals, will be on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of this month. After which, the Super Regionals will be played from the 26th to the 29th of May.
Subsequently, the Division I NCAA Softball championship will take place from the 2nd to the 9th of June. It all culminates in the Women’s College World Series, and the location remains to be at the Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
Not to mention, each all-women college team is vying for the top spot in the NCAA Woman’s College World Series. Thus, top-class performances and the constant thrill of victory are an assured add-on.
Division II
Additionally, the NCAA Softball Division II conferences are nearing the end. They shall be over by the 7th of May. The Division II tournament will be played from the 26th to the 31st of May in Denver, Colorado.
Women's College World Series
This year will be the first time that the WCWS is a nine-day event. The previous seven-day series did not allow for any breaks. Now, the players can rest and recoup and, as a result, perform better.
Did you know: Some of the biggest intercollegiate rivalries are between:
- The University of Louisiana versus Louisiana State University
- The University of Michigan versus Northwestern University
- UCLA versus the University of Arizona
Fans can come out and support their alma maters and favorite teams. Bring your friends and family to watch the future stars of the National Softball Association rise to the top.
This tournament is a fast-paced event, and we have already reached the mid-season point. Be sure not to miss out on your beloved teams swinging their bats this spring. Plus, you will get a chance to chant the names of your favorites out loud from the dugout.
