The musical deals with the events that happened in Newfoundland when the International Gander Airport witnessed the unexpected landing of 38 planes with 7000 passengers in total. While the main event was the attack that led to all of it, Come From Away also deals with the insides of the operation carried out.
What we know today as a full-fledged show started as a workshop in Ontario. From there, the critics noted the potential of the production, and it saw record-breaking reruns in Canada and America. The show was well-received by the audience and, around the year 2017, made its Broadway Debut.
