D.L. Hughley

Darryl Lynn Hughley, popularly known as D.L. Hughley, is a famous American stand-up comedian and actor. He is known for his stellar performance in BET’s ComicView and starred in the sitcom "The Hughleys." Hughley also appeared in "The Original King of Comedies" as one of the Big Four.

Hughley was born and brought up in Portsmouth before the family moved to Los Angeles. At one time during his adolescence, he became involved with the gang the Bloods and also got expelled from school.

However, he eventually turned his life around and started working for the Los Angeles Times after getting his GED. He later released a stand-up comedy album, "D.L. Hughley: Notes from the GED Section," with experiences from those years of his life.

Achievements as a Comedian and Entertainer

Hughley appeared in the show Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He also went on to host a talk show on Comedy Central, "Weekends at the DL." He also starred in shows like Scrub for NBC and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". He also served as the `special guest moderator on the ABC show, The View, for a day and was a guest star of Glory Daze on TBS. He also hosted the hit show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” as a guest.

Hughley also hosted the “D.L. Hughley Breaks the News” on CNN. He also became a correspondent on the NBC show The Jay Leno Show. Additionally, he also participated in "Dancing with the Stars."

Hughley also dabbled in writing and has some notable books under his name. The first is I Want You to Shut the F#ck Up, How the Audacity of Dopes is Ruining America, while his second book is Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years. His third one was titled How Not to Get Shot: And Other Advice from White People.

Hughley also hosted the talk show, "The D.L. Hughley Show," on TV One. He was also selected to write a comedy news show on CNN, which he also hosted. The format was engaging, as the show covered important events worldwide in sports, entertainment, and politics, among others. Still, they were presented hilariously.
