The Book of Mormon
All theater lovers have watched South Park and enjoyed it to the fullest. Now, from the same creators comes The Book of Mormon, which promises the same amount of entertainment and makes religion a bit fun for all of us to understand.
Based on the book by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez: is a real-life inspiration from the Church system and the writer's experiences with it. It first hit Broadway in 2011 in Eugene O' Neill Theater, New York City; the play was an instant hit and carried the popularity of South Park forward.

Faith, Famine, and Everything In Between
The play is unconventionally postmodernism as it tackles the question of faith, survival, and human choice. The play's protagonists are modern-day priests working hard in the village of Uganda to make them understand faith and religion.
But, their biggest challenge is the villager's apathetic attitude and indifference. This brings us to the ground reality of how these people have more significant concerns like poverty, hunger, diseases, and all sorts of problems they grapple with.
While being at the center, the faith is flaky and questioned on the pretext of such brutal reality. And, using the perfect music and lyrics by the trio themselves, the theme stands out and makes you question the same things.
The early workshops for the play started in 2008, with the trio looking for the perfect beginning of the production. During these workshops, the show found its producers, Scott Rudin and Anne Garefino, and marked its debut in 2011.
A Stunning Cast and Crew
The show has one of the best sound scores and a musical album. The album became so popular that it remained in Billboard's top four for weeks and had several nominations. The Broadway production also had about nine Tony Awards.
On top of it all, The Book of Mormon won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, shooting it right there. With so many successful runs still going on, the show surpassed 42nd Street's record and is currently the longest-running Broadway show.
