Canada's Billy Tellier is an actor, comedian, and radio host. Tellier was born in 1982 in Quebec. As a child, he loved being on stage. He went on to study comedy at Montreal's National School of Humor, where he gave some of his first public performances as part of the school's 2002 Unrestrained Tour all over Quebec. In 2004, Tellier won the Revelation of the Year Award at Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival. This brought him to the attention of people all over the country.
Billy Tellier took part in the 2002 ENH Unrestrained Tour in Quebec. This was after he graduated from the National School of Humor (ENH). In 2004, he was nominated for the “Prix de la Relève Juste pour rire.” He went on a tour of Quebec called "Juste pour rire" and started big festivals like "Grand Rire Bleue" and "Just for Laughs" the same year.
Billy Tellier also works in radio. In Lanaudière, he co-hosts the show "Return Home" on M103.5 FM. In 2005, he hosted the "Lundis fou rire de Joliette," joined "Secondaire en spectacle," represented Canada at the International Festival of Bierges in Belgium, and took ROSEQ on tour in eastern Quebec.
In 2012, Billy Tellier's show Debout Montréal was nominated for the Gala Les Olivier category "Comedy radio show." He also signed with Evenko, with whom he worked on his first one-person show. As a spokesperson, he also participated in the Gala Gregory Charles and Festifilm. In August 2012, he joined Yan England and Kim Rusk on CHOI's morning show Yan, Kim, and Billy as co-host. He is co-hosting Debout les comiques with Martin Cloutier, Patrice Bélanger, and Tammy Verge. The show is still on the same frequency.
In 2013, he opened La loi du plus fort, his first one-man show.
Billy Tellier was in the cast of La vie parfait, which aired on Radio-Canada in the fall of 2013. He also edited the script for Rachid Badouri's new show, "Recharged," and he was a columnist on the "Brassard live broadcast today" (Vtélé). Billy Tellier hosted "Les champions du web" on V Télé for two seasons in February 2014. He was also the host of the game show "Find me that" on V Télé.
In 2017, as part of the 35th anniversary of the Just for Laughs Festival, Billy Tellier presented “Le petit monde de Billy Live” instead of the arts.
