Bill Cosby's clean comedy about everyday life was the first thing that made him want to write. Many of his jokes are about being a "redneck," which he calls "a glorious lack of sophistication." Foxworthy is easy to spot because he has had the same mustache since his senior year of high school.

He regularly references the Bible in conversation due to his Catholic faith. He graduated from Hapeville High School. He returned to Georgia Tech to earn his degree in retrospect. In 1985, after marrying Pamela Gregg, Jeff Foxworthy became the proud father of two children, Jordan Foxworthy and Juliane Foxworthy. He adores his two girls and devotes much of his time to them.
