Washington Commanders (formerly Washington Redskins) Games
The “Washington Football Team” is a professional American football team situated in the metropolitan area of Washington, D.C. The team is part of the East Division, which plays in the National Football Conference (NFC) of the National Football League (NFL). The team’s headquarters and training facility are located in Ashburn, Virginia known as the Redskins Park. The Redskins also play in the recently built Redskins Complex situated in Richmond, Virginia. They play their home games at the FedExField based in Landover, Maryland.
Since the year 1932, the team had reached a total of 1,000 games and achieved five championship games in the National Football League (NFL). They also compiled an outstanding record by achieving 13 NFL division titles and six NFL conference championship games.
In their history, the team appeared and won several times in the Super Bowls, NFC championships and NFL playoffs. Also, the team advanced to 22 post-seasons and compiled a record of 23 wins and 17 losses. Together with New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders, the team won three Super Bowls. The team was in the 4th place next to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
In a 10-year span of playing in the league, the team has achieved much in their football career. The team advanced to the NFL championships 6 times and won 2 out of their six NFL championship appearances. In between the years 1982 and 1991, the Redskins reached the post-seasons seven times and won various games including four conference titles. Out of their four appearances in the Super Bowls, the Redskins won three of it.
However, it seemed that failures were unpredictable in its own way. Although the team was a growing victory at that time, the Redskins were not able to escape failures for the year 1947 until 1970.
It is reported by Forbes Magazine that Washington Redskins ranked as the third most valued franchise in the league following the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys. In the year 2013, the team’s approximate value was $1.6 billion.
