Colin Mochrie
Colin Mochrie is a Canadian actor and improvisational comedian. He is of Scottish descent. Mochrie is also a prolific writer and has produced many comedies and other TV shows. He is best known for his performances on the TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway," and he has been successful in both the US and the British versions.
Mocherie is a veteran when it comes to comedy. He had a very long career and has worked with some of the top names in the industry. He had worked with Vancouver's TheatreSports League and Toronto's Second City theater.
Rise as a Comedy Star and Other Accolades
Mochrie has also appeared in numerous TV shows. He had produced and written for several Canadian sitcoms along with his wife, Debra McGrath, a comedian herself. The most notable are Getting Along Famously and She's the Mayor.
Mochrie has received various awards and accolades for his performances throughout his career. He had performed at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. Mochrie had come a long way because he had said he was very shy when he was a kid. He had also said that he was a loner who wanted to become a marine biologist because of the calmness and solitude the ocean offered him.

He was a part of the advertising campaign for Nabisco, where he starred as the "Snack fairy," wearing a ballet tutu over his slacks and t-shirt.
He also appeared in the musical version of The Brady Bunch and the comedy series Supertown Challenge. He was also quite a regular in the Canadian improvisational comedy series Improv Heaven and Hell.
Mochrie has been awarded two Canadian Comedy Awards and has been the recipient of the Gemini Award and Writers Guild of Canada Award. He was also named the Canadian “Comedy Person of the Year'' by Canadian Comedy Awards.
