Desi Banks is a stand-up comedian who also indulges in other forms of entertainment, such as creating content for Instagram and YouTube. He plays pranks, develops challenges and reaction videos, and pleases the audience through several vlogs on his channel.

Born on 9^th May 1993 and hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, this young comedian was also quite famous on Vine, where he had garnered 430,000 followers before the app ceased to exist.

Not much is known about his personal life or life prior to becoming a stand-up comedian, except that he holds a degree in Sociology from Georgia State University.

Career and Achievements

It’s from Vine that Banks’ career in comedy began to take shape. He posted funny videos on the platform, portraying characters such as Keshia and Lil Johnny. As time went by, he became more and more famous on the platform and had already made an audience for himself.

Even though the app was closed down, his career continued to move along as he also created his own YouTube channel. The very first video he uploaded on 16^th March 2015, titled 'Lil Johnny at his auntie/babysitter house,' ended up getting a huge number of views.

One of his most popular videos to date remains the one named When Your Friend Fresh Out Of Jail, which ended up garnering a whopping 4.9 million views. He has performed at stand-up shows in over 30 cities and was also a part of the You're My Boooyfriend with B Simone.

Banks always had a passion for acting, and the wish to get into it full-time was constantly present. This led to him developing his own production company, which currently has more than 2000 videos.

His production house gives chances to aspiring actors to prove their talent and showcase their enthralling acting abilities to audiences worldwide.

Banks received his first role as a lead actor in the short film titled Flexin', after which he was also seen in the film Love by Chance as a supporting actor. He got an opportunity to work in the 2019 movie Little, along with Issa Rae and Regina Hall.

The comedian has also had appearances in other movies, namely Jaded Blueprints, BLOOM, Strangers with Memories, and Daddy's Home. His acting abilities have led him to audition for bigger roles, giving his fans the hope that they will soon be seeing him in other movies too.
