Godfrey C. Danchimah, Jr., popularly known as Godfrey, is an American actor and comedian. He had made appearances in films like Zoolander, Johnson Family Vacation, Soul Plane, and comedy shows like Comedy Central. He has also done reality TV and was a part of the 7up advertising campaign.

Godfrey performs in several comedy clubs, the most notable being Comedy Cellar in New York City. He has also hosted game shows on the FOX channel titled Bullseye. Besides, he also had his radio show on SiriusXM. Now, he has his podcast on Gas Digital Network, "In Godfrey we Trust." He frequently collaborates with other social media stars for exciting segments.

Achievements as Comedy Star and Television Personality

Godfrey is of Nigerian descent and grew up in Chicago after his family moved to the US to escape the Nigerian Civil War. He played football in varsity, and around this time, he performed in a college talent show. He impersonated his teammates and coaches and received compliments for his performance, thus discovering his comic side.

Godfrey started performing regularly in comedy clubs in Chicago, especially in All Jokes Aside. He had a phenomenal rise in the 90s and made his debut in the Carolines on Broadway in New York. He was also featured in Comic Strip Live and was signed by talent agencies. He started getting rave reviews for his distinctive take on various aspects of life.

Godfrey also started getting work on television, warming up the audience behind the screens for Cosby. He first appeared on camera for NBC for their show Friday Night Videos. Godfrey is also a self-styled karate master, and he juggles his time between TV and movies as well as his stand-up.
