Joe Avati is an internationally renowned comedian from Australia with an Italian heritage. Rise As An Internationally Renowned Comedian

Avati was born in Australia in 1974 to parents from Calabria, Italy. After graduating in food science from a university in Sydney, he pursued a career in the restaurant business. While creating different ice cream flavors for the restaurant, he simultaneously worked on enlivening his stand-up comedy aspiration.

And finally, his journey as a stand-up comedian kicked off after he released “Livin’ la Dole-Cheque Vita” in 1999. The following year, he came up with another comedy album, “Live and Unpluggato,” that gained huge success in Canada.

Avati produced a stage show named “IL DAGO” that cast George Kapiniaries, Nish Selvadurai, and Avati himself. This parody “boy band” act was featured on several stages in regional centers and major cities across Australia from 2007 to 2009. This album was honored at the 10th Annual Australian Club Entertainment Awards for the “Best Comedy Act of 2007” and “Most Outstanding Club Performers of the Year.”

In 2009, he made a debut in the SBS (Special Broadcasting Service) television series “Food Investigator” by Dr. Renee Lim. Gradually, Avati climbed the ladder of success with his inimitable comedy style. And by 2012, he was recognized as the world’s best-selling bilingual comedian and one of the biggest comic exports of Australia.

In 2018, this Italian-Australian comedian set a record by selling nearly 6400 tickets for his comedy show in Canada within just 2 hours.
