John Morgan

John Morgan is a Canadian comedian who was born in Wales. Morgan played a lot of different characters on the CBC sketch comedy show Royal Canadian Air Farce from 1993 to 2001, as well as its predecessor on CBC Radio. These characters included the always disgusted Scotsman Jock McBile, the socialite Amy De La Pompa, and the one-word Mike from Canmore. Morgan also played satirical versions of Herb Gray, Deborah Grey, and Boris Yeltsin.

Career

The city's novel economics, politics, and cultural milieu stimulated his artistic development. The youngest of nine siblings, John is an only child. After finishing high school, he enrolled at what is now known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned degrees in Political Science, English, and Interpersonal Communications. John found out that he could make people laugh when he was in college.

John believed that bringing himself to the people was the greatest way to use his comedy and communication abilities after working as the Director of Marketing for a network of psychiatric facilities in his native state of Louisiana.

John has maintained a steady career in the entertainment industry, with stints at comedy clubs, weddings, and festivals. He has been on Showtime, MTV, and Night Watch with Charlie Rose, all national shows. He has opened for Kathleen Madigan, The Monkeys, Michael Bolton, Jerry Seinfeld, Ronnie Cole, and Helen Reddy.

His self-assured attitude and honest approach to life are both unique and refreshing. John is fearless in talking about real problems. His comedy comes from the heart, whether talking about kids or relationships. Even though his work sometimes pushes the limits, it never makes fun of any race, sex, or religion. John is best known for his stand-up comedy, but he also does motivational speaking and works with couples. During these events, John uses humor and adds feelings to his speeches. This gives people a new point of view and a new way of thinking. He helps people understand what the message means.

So, whether it's a special group or a night at the comedy club, this Ragin' Cajun is as sweet as a honey-glazed ham and spicy as a Tabasco pepper. In 2004, John was asked to perform at the Masters level of the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Seeing him on stage is like seeing a character come to life. And he looked very excited when they told him he was going to Montreal!
